I built the VisitorLog kiosk app to run on any Android device running 6.0 or newer, which means you can use a consumer tablet from Amazon or a commercial signage display and get the same functionality for a fraction of the cost.

The kiosk app locks down the device so visitors can only access the check in interface. When nobody is actively checking in, a customizable welcome slideshow rotates through your slides with per slide timing controls. You can display company branding, safety instructions, building maps, or anything else your visitors should see while waiting. Device pairing takes about 30 seconds through a simple site code (type in the code displayed on screen, and the device connects to your facility). Over the air updates push new app versions and configuration changes without anyone touching the device, which is especially valuable if your kiosks are mounted in lobbies that are not easy to access physically.
